Epoxy resin flooring: price, uses and benefits

· 5 min read

Epoxy resin flooring is no longer just for garages and warehouses: today it’s used in shops, kitchens and home areas too, thanks to its toughness and seamless finish. Here’s the price, uses and why people love it.

What an epoxy floor is

It’s a continuous resin coating applied over the existing floor (concrete or screed in good condition) that forms a joint-free, hard, waterproof surface. It takes smooth, metallic, marble-effect or multicolour finishes.

Where it’s used

  • Garages and parking spaces: withstands vehicle traffic and oil stains.
  • Shops and warehouses: hygienic, tough and easy to clean.
  • Kitchens, terraces and storage rooms: seamless, with no joints to trap dirt.
  • Homes: as a decorative floor in industrial or modern spaces.

Benefits

  • Very resistant to wear, impacts and chemicals.
  • Waterproof and easy to clean (a mop is enough).
  • No works in many cases: applied over the current floor.
  • Anti-slip when aggregates are added, ideal for wet areas.

Indicative price

It depends on the finish and base preparation, but as a guide it’s usually between €30 and €80/m². Decorative finishes (metallic or marble-effect) sit at the top end. We give you a fixed price after the visit.

Maintenance

Minimal: sweep and mop with water. In high-traffic areas, an occasional re-seal keeps the shine.
